For military officers with technical degrees and training in engineering and the sciences, Newfield has a special Technical Professional Development Program specifically tailored to training in the energy industry. This position is an entry level, active training position of between one and two years duration designed provide the individual with the needed knowledge and skills to advance into higher Newfield Exploration positions in our organization. The candidate will learn all aspects of the oil and gas business through hands-on-training. In this program, the individual will learn all aspects of running day-to-day operations in a variety of different positions and roles that include: Construction Foreman, Production Superintendent, Production Foreman, Production Engineer, Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, Onshore Lease Operator, Landman, and Drilling Engineer.
